Celebrating Hull’s health & care heroes

Not all heroes wear capes and the winners of Hull Daily Mail’s Health & Care Awards 2019 proved just that.

Citycare was once again proud to sponsor the awards, celebrating innovation, achievement and excellence across the sector.

Those who are usually rushed off their feet and concentrated on helping others were able to let their hair down and celebrate at the glamorous ceremony.

As well as being Associate Sponsor for the awards, Citycare also backed the Innovation in Health and Social Care Award, of whom John Mitchell was the winner.

Citycare Chief Executive Tim Wigglesworth said: “It was a pleasure, once again, to sponsor the Health and Care Awards.

“They are a fantastic way to showcase some of the incredible contributions individuals and teams make to the health and care sector in our region.

“Working closely with the health service on a daily basis, we hear some amazing stories from people who never expect any acknowledgement for their hard work.

“These awards are an opportunity for those unsung heroes to take their moment in the spotlight and be recognised for their contribution.

The Hull Daily Mail’s Health and Care Awards made a brilliant return for the fourth year running and celebrated all of the best things about Hull’s healthcare and the people that work in the industry.

During the emotional ceremony, 11 winners were revealed after judges painstakingly whittled down hundreds of nominations to a shortlist of 33.
