Tim Wigglesworth has been officially appointed as the new Citycare Chief Executive.
After almost six years at Citycare and most recently in the role of Chief Operations Officer, the Citycare Board endorsed his appointment with immediate effect.
Former Citycare Chief Executive Jo Barnes will remain on the Board in an informal capacity while staying involved with Citycare as Managing Director of Shared Agenda, as the business provides all of Citycare’s services to customers.
Jo said: “I’m delighted that the Board has recognised Tim’s abilities and commitment in this way and he takes the role on with immediate effect.
“After 10 years as CEO, I think it is time for new blood at the top and I’m really pleased that Tim has accepted the challenge. On a personal level, I’m especially pleased that this has been an internal appointment and we have the talent in house to enable this.
“The changes will give me more capacity to continue growing our business across the region, as well as developing our Sewell Investments portfolio with projects such as Yorkshire Energy Park and Cottingham Parks.”
Tim said: “It’s a tremendous honour to be appointed to lead one of the most well regarded Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) companies in the country.
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead in helping to support our partners towards achieving the company’s higher vision to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the city.
“While it represents a change in the name above the door, it’s very much business as usual.
“I’d also like to say a big thank you to everybody who has supported me along the way.”
